Northcrest Neighborhood Real Estate
Just 4 miles from the city’s center, the east Vancouver Northcrest neighborhood is located south of Burnt Bridge Creek in the area known to locals as The Heights.
The majority of homes in this area were constructed in the 1960s. Many of these homes enjoy excellent views from the bluff overlooking a large swath of undeveloped countryside, and have been well tended by longtime residents. Although primarily residential, this neighborhood also features a few light manufacturing facilities and a fair amount of open agricultural land, lending it a traditional rural feel.
Mill Plain Boulevard defines the Northcrest neighborhood’s southern boundary, and provides residents a convenient commuter route to nearby and outlying areas, as well as immediate access to shopping, dining and entertainment. Several small shops, service centers and educational offices are also located in the nearby Town Plaza, surrounded by locally owned cafes and ethnic diners.
Columbia Lancaster Park lies at the center of Northcrest and features updated play equipment, walkways, picnic areas and open space for outdoor family and community gatherings. Host to junior sports league games, a community center and park-within-a-park, the enormous David Douglas Park in the adjacent Northwood neighborhood is another top local recreational destination.
