Northfield Neighborhood Real Estate
Northfield is one of Vancouver’s newest neighborhoods. Developed in the late 1990s as part of the venerable Fisher’s Landing neighborhood, Northfield is purely residential and features a large concentration of modern single family homes, Duplexes and Condos. All of these homes are owner occupied and many enjoy outstanding views of nearby mountains and the scenic Columbia River Gorge.
This peaceful, family oriented neighborhood enjoys close proximity to local shops and restaurants, professional health and childcare clinics, and retail complexes along Southeast 164th Avenue. Public transportation is excellent in the Northfield area, and especially convenient for those who work beyond the Vancouver city limits or frequently fly out of Portland International Airport. Students attend Columbia Valley Elementary, Shahala Middle School or Evergreen High.
Tucked into a grove surrounded by lovely homes, Northfield Park is owned and maintained by the Northfield Community Association, and gives residents a reason to get outdoors with its modern playground, walking paths and rolling lawns under maturing shade trees. One of the unique features of the park is the multi-use pathway connecting it to the surrounding Condominiums and nearby main streets. The Northfield Neighborhood Association works closely with the City of Vancouver to advocate for the community and provides a venue through which residents can address their concerns directly with their city’s decision makers.
