Clark County Real Estate
Clark county is located in Southern Washington and is home to 431,200 people according to 2008 estimates from Washington state. The largest city is Vancouver, WA which is also part of the greater Portland-Vancouver metro area.
Surrounded on two sides by the Columbia River, and to the north by the Lewis River, the region is blessed with an abundance of fresh water, a mild climate and fertile soils brought here by the glaciers coming through the canyons of the Columbia River gorge.
The region has been growing rapidly, 25% since the 2000 census, due largely to people moving here and attracted by the combination of affordable housing, less restrictive urban growth laws, and the lack of personal income tax.
